Bonnell Industries just hosted its biennial Equipment Expo on June 5th and 6th at its headquarters in Dixon, Illinois. Heavy rain and storms in the run up to the event had the team worried, but as the 40 vendors finalized their booths and Bonnell employees geared up to receive the 1,000-plus attendees, the clouds cleared, and there was nothing but blue skies for both days.
Held to introduce customers to vendors and new product advancements, the Equipment Expo is the ideal place to see Bonnell’s snow and ice fighting vehicles, industrial leaf vacuums, and road drags, as well as meet the people behind the trucks. Unmissable in their ‘Bonnell Orange’ shirts, employees were available to answer questions and share their knowledge and passion for what they do.
New to the Expo this year were education sessions hosted by Bonnell, PreCise MRM, and VariTech Industries. Topics included using GPS applications to fight Mother Nature, how brine can boost the effectiveness of your snow and ice program, and how Bonnell’s contract award for ‘Snow and Ice Handling Equipment’ from Sourcewell benefits the brand’s clients. Product demonstrations ran all day as attendees got to try their hand at welding, operating a truck mounted crane, and behind the controls of a leaf vacuum.
Fay’s Pork Chop Bar-B-Que from Waterman, Illinois, catered the event, and attendees, vendors, and staff enjoyed sitting down together to eat. Company president, Joe Bonnell, says, “The Expo is a great opportunity for us to meet and bond with our customers and vendors, and this year’s event was bigger and better than ever. We really look forward to seeing everyone and enjoying some great BBQ and even better company!”
The Equipment Expo returns June 9th and 10th 2021. Mark your calendars and follow Bonnell on Facebook or visit www.bonnell.com for updates.
