GM selected Schneider Electric as a preferred provider for GM’s Ultium Charge 360 fleet service. Schneider Electric is a leader in digital transformation of energy management and automation. Ultium Charge 360 will support electric vehicle infrastructure. The move will facilitate GM’s commitment to fleet electrification. It will also provide a more seamless experience for GM and BrightDrop customers through an end-to-end solution by Schneider Electric.
Further, Schneider Electric’s EcoStruxure for Automotive and Mobility solution is offered for fleet customers and available through Ultium Charge 360. It is an EV infrastructure solution providing: utility rate negotiation as well as modeling; software integration; charging station agnostic solutions; and cybersecurity architecture. The service also provides end-point cloud integration connecting products, controls, software, and services. Additionally, it provides Energy-as-a-Service design and financial support for the infrastructure solution.

SEAMLESS SOLUTIONS
Part of the agreement, GM will also facilitate integration between customers’ existing integrated solutions and Schneider Electric programming interfaces. This means that Schneider Electric’s new EV infrastructure technology will work seamlessly with existing GM solutions where available. These technology solutions include Energy Assist, OnStar Business Solutions, and OnStar Vehicle Insights, as well as newer technologies moving forward.
