Stertil-Koni Reports Growing Use across North America of Twin Piston Jacking Beams on Platform SKYLIFT to Deliver Wheels-free Lifting

APPROACH PROVES IDEAL FOR LIFTING A SINGLE WHEEL OR BOTH WHEELS IN TANDEM

Jacking Beam pistons can be operated individually or in tandem for wheels-free lifting.

Heavy-duty vehicle lift leader Stertil-Koni reported that vehicle maintenance shops across North America seeking even more lifting power from the Stertil-Koni SKYLIFT—a true vertical-rise platform lift with a capacity up to 156,000 lbs—turn to Jacking Beams for the solution.

Engineered by lift manufacturer Stertil-Koni, these air-driven hydraulic accessories for SKYLIFT use twin lifting pistons. They also feature integrated mechanical locks to deliver wheels-free access for tire and brake repairs on virtually any vehicle.

Peter Bowers, technical sales support manager at Stertil-Koni, notes that Jacking Beams transport the SKYLIFT into a multi-dimensional lifting system. He notes that operators can operate both Jacking Beam pistons individually. Further, he says this ability is ideal for lifting a single wheel or both wheels in tandem.

Jacking Beams glide smoothly and safely on a dedicated track on SKYLIFT, making positioning a snap.

Bowers says the Jacking Beams feature remote control operations as well as overload protection and hold-to-run controls. “And each piston is equipped with a reliable gravity-engaged mechanical locking system,” Bowers adds.

The Jacking Beams also feature a simple, modern design with a control panel at an optimally ergonomic working height. Lifting capacities, depending on model, range from 17,600 lbs to 44,000 lbs.

“The SKYLIFT Jacking Beam exemplifies Stertil-Koni’s commitment to providing our customers with the ultimate in master-designed, high-performance lifting systems that make heavy-duty vehicle repair and servicing ever more safe, efficient, and productive,” concludes Stertil-Koni president, Dr. Jean DellAmore.
