Women In Trucking recognized Peterbilt Motors Company in 2021 as a top workplace for women in the transportation industry.
This is the fourth time Peterbilt has received this important award; the award acknowledges the accomplishments of companies focused on the employment of women in the trucking and transportation fields.
“Cultivating a diverse workforce is critical to Peterbilt’s success, and a large part of that is championing the development of women leaders within the organization,” says Jason Skoog, Peterbilt general manager and PACCAR vice president. “Receiving this award for the third straight year tells me Peterbilt is on the right path, and of that I’m very proud.”
Through its Diversity Council, Peterbilt commits to recruit, develop, and promote a diverse workforce and provide equal opportunities for employees. Additionally, the council’s mission is to cultivate an inclusive environment where all people feel they belong and can succeed.
Within the Diversity Council, the Peterbilt Women’s Initiative Network has more than 100 members. These members dedicate themselves to the empowerment of women within Peterbilt through education, support, networking, personal growth, and development opportunities.
Further, Peterbilt joined Women In Trucking in 2016 and became a Gold Level Partner in 2018.
