Lubrication Specialties Inc. (LSI), manufacturer of Hot Shot’s Secret™, will expand its warehouse footprint with a 24,000-sq-ft facility located in Mt. Gilead, Ohio. LSI purchased the facility to improve efficiency and distribution of its growing Hot Shot’s Secret and LSI Chemical product lines. LSI’s new facility will act as a shipping and distribution hub. The facility will help accommodate Hot Shot’s Secret products and LSI Chemical products developed and shipped in bulk internationally. Since the company’s inception in 1997, LSI has experienced meteoric growth both organically and through acquisition.
LSI introduced Hot Shot’s Secret Stiction Eliminator in 2004. In the years following, the company purchased businesses such as Frantz Filters and Fluid Recovery. Later in 2020, LSI developed the LSI Chemical division to develop products in bulk for downstream refinery operations. The products improve petrol and diesel performance on an international scale.
LSI President Brett Tennar says, “The purchase of additional warehouse space and a dedicated distribution center became a necessity after the tremendous growth we’ve experienced over the past few years. It is imperative we keep our customers top of mind, and that is why this move was needed. We will be able to keep more products in stock, improve shipping efficiencies, and ultimately, take better care of our customers.”
Tennar says with the additional Hot Shot’s Secret products the company now offers as well as additional product development, LSI Chemical products, and growth in its e-commerce business, it was only a matter of time until the move to a bigger facility was necessary.
“We’re also excited about the opportunity to hire more employees at our headquarters in central Ohio for the warehouse,” Tennar says. “This new warehouse will add much needed space for all our finished goods shipped domestically and internationally.”
