We went two full years without an in-person Work Truck Show, and honestly I don’t know how we managed. As the biggest trade show of our magazine, Modern WorkTruck Solutions was really itching to get back to Indianapolis and see all our friends in the industry, what the truck manufacturers have been cooking up since lockdown, and preview some innovations before they launch out into the field. It was a big year for Work Truck Week, and we’re already stoked to be back next year. If you didn’t go, here’s what you missed…
Excitement in Indy!
If there’s one word to describe Work Truck Week 2022, it would be “excitement.” Every exhibitor I spoke to said they barely had a moment to themselves because attendees and customers were constantly in their booth wondering when they could order products, how a product worked, when the product could be at their office, etc. And even though the crowd kept exhibitors busy, trust me, no one complained about the traffic to their booth. Everyone was happy to be back in front of friendly faces, and the excitement that current and potential customers showed for new products was both an encouragement and an indication of a strong work truck industry.
I was surprised at all the new products and announcements coming from this year’s show, although I shouldn’t have been. With two years away from trade shows, it seemed as though everyone had something new to showcase. We’ve already touched on some of the new products in this issue—check out the show review on page 12—but we couldn’t fit it all in one piece. Read on for more from Work Truck Week 2022.
