AT THE SHOW
Further, Allison will sponsor the Work Truck Week 2023 Ride & Drive at the Work Truck Show. Participants will have the opportunity to drive commercial vehicles with the latest fuels and technologies, sustainability offerings, and propulsion systems. Drivers can choose from 19 vehicles including trucks equipped with the Allison 9-Speed transmission and eGen Power® 100D electric axle.
Allison is also a gold sponsor of the Green Truck Summit, which serves as the kickoff to Work Truck Week. Alexander Schey, managing director of electrification commercialization and strategy, Allison Transmission, will host a breakout session focused on the company’s strategy for leading the commercial vehicle industry in the shift to electric vehicles through its innovative electrified propulsion solutions.
The Allison 9-Speed addresses emissions regulations with minimal integration and validation requirements by sharing commonality with Allison’s 2000 Series™ platform. Allison designed the eGen Power family of electric axles to fit between the wheels of medium- and heavy-duty trucks. This replaces the vehicle’s traditional powertrain with electric power.
Additionally, Allison will display the Allison 9-Speed and eGen Power 100S in booth #2901. Attendees will also be able to interact with Allison’s e-Axles. The company will also showcase its 3000 Series™ transmission designed for medium-duty commercial vehicles in a variety of applications. Allison built the 3000 Series to make medium-duty vehicles more fuel efficient and easier to operate. The company developed all propulsion solutions to help fleets improve fuel economy and maximize vehicle efficiency.
