This result is also in compliance with the 2010 EPA regulations.

A unit injector’s pressure depends on the “rise time” of the injection event, yet the Common Rail Fuel Injection system in the Hino 268A is supplied by constant pressure pumps that assure instant high-pressure response for each injection event, giving a more responsive engine and better control of fuel quantity in the combustion.
The engine also features a VNT Turbocharger that optimizes airflow by changing the turbocharger’s output based on control input from the engine’s electronic control unit. This allows for more accurate cylinder pressure control and air/fuel ratio. Better control leads to a more complete burn of fuel, resulting in better fuel efficiency.
