With the introduction of the DC™ series, ACX® XPEDITOR®, and ACMD® XPERT®, Autocar builds on its history of innovation. Autocar designed these custom trucks to fit the needs of construction body requirements, improving job performance, safety, and uptime.
Using its 200-plus years of experience as well as input from industry experts, Autocar designed its DC-64D specifically for construction. More than 100 improvements later, the Autocar DC-64 solves industry issues that other suppliers don’t address.

THE DC SERIES
The Autocar DC delivers noticeable performance differences including better stability, tighter turning radius, greater frame strength, and overall custom engineering. One of the greatest differences of the DC is the 325 degrees of visibility from the driver’s seat. This is possible by 4,982 sq inches of viewable glass area that provides 30% more visibility than other conventional trucks. The trademark Autocar wrap-around windshield with tucked-in A-pillars maximizes the forward visibility for safety.
The durability of a truck is not an option, but a must. With its ultra-high-strength, 160,000 psi steel frame rails, the Autocar DC handles up to 1,700 lb-ft of torque and an 80,000-lb towing capacity. That’s more than enough for any demanding work application. Each model offers both diesel and CNG/LNG fuel options.
Autocar engineered the DC-64D™ specifically for the demands of dump truck and general construction use. Autocar built the DC-64M™ with specialized frame rails, suspension, cab, and electrical features to withstand the challenges of mixer operations. Both models provide exceptional side-to-side and upward visibility, thanks to a wide, curved, and steeply raked windshield.
AUTOCAR TRUCKS
The Autocar ACX XPEDITOR cabover engine model offers 4X2, 6X4, and 8X4 format options. This severe-duty truck delivers the strongest cab available for more reliability and longer life. Rivetless construction requires less maintenance, and the extra-thick front panel reduces damage from the toughest work conditions. It is built from material stiffer than aluminum to extend the productive life of the truck.
The Autocar ACMD XPERT packs Autocar toughness into a Class 7/Class 8 package that’s perfect for a wide range of vocational applications—big enough to comfortably fit a three-man crew, but sized perfectly for maneuvering through narrow alleys, tight parking lots, and busy streets.
