Godwin Manufacturing Co. Inc., and sister company Good Roads won two state of North Carolina DOT contracts. The jointly awarded five-year contracts will supply the state DOT with approximately 500 dump bodies and hoists, and 500 snowplows.
The companies are tasked with manufacturing and installing 250 10-foot single axle dump bodies, 250 15-foot tandem dump bodies, 250 10-foot snowplows, and 250 12-foot snowplows. NCDOT has the option to increase quantities of all items.
The state dump body contract calls for the use of a minimum of AR450 steel construction. Godwin has will exceed those specifications with the use of Hardox AR500 Tuf steel construction; Good Roads will also exceed state specifications in the construction of its NCDOT manufactured snowplows.
