KENWORTH T880S MIXER SALE PRODUCES $190,000 DONATION TO SUPPORT CIM PROGRAM

A Kenworth T880S bridge-formula mixer, donated for sale at the recent Concrete Industry Management (CIM) annual auction at World of Concrete, has produced a major $190,000 contribution to the CIM program, thanks to Kenworth, Con-Tech Manufacturing, Kenworth of Central Florida, and other Kenworth supplier partners.

The Kenworth T880S mixer was purchased for $190,000 by Liquid Stone Concrete, a ready mixed concrete company based in Burleson, Texas. The donation will support the CIM program through scholarships for students pursuing a four-year Bachelor of Science degree in Concrete Industry Management at Middle Tennessee State University, New Jersey Institute of Technology, Texas State University, and California State University-Chico. JACOBS LAUNCHES BRAKE FOR HINO MOTORS’ FIRST US CLASS 8 TRUCK

Jacobs Vehicle Systems, manufacturer of diesel and natural gas engine retarding systems and valve actuation mechanisms, announces the launch of a compression release engine brake for the all-new 2020 Hino XL Series truck. For two decades, Hino Motors’ and Jacobs Vehicle Systems’ engineers have collaborated to provide engine brakes to the Japanese market. NESTE’S RENEWABLE FUELS HELPED REDUCE CLIMATE EMISSIONS BY 7.9 MILLION TONS IN 2018

NTEA RELEASES VEHICLE CERTIFICATION TRAINING COURSE

NTEA’s Truck Equipment 201 is a training course intended as a series of online course modules designed for those with a technical knowledge seeking a deeper understanding of certain topics. Truck Equipment 201 builds on Truck Equipment 101—an NTEA training program covering all aspects of work trucks and the industry—which launched in 2017. Made of 15 online modules, Truck Equipment 101 provides insight into systems that make up a truck and basic regulatory requirements applicable to US and Canadian markets. 

There are no prerequisites to take the Truck Equipment 201 course. To receive a certificate of completion, the learner is required to complete a brief quiz following each of the four sections in addition to an evaluation at the end. XL TO LAUNCH PLUG-IN HYBRID ELECTRIC FOR F-250 PICKUP AT NTEA’S THE WORK TRUCK SHOW
