An onsite mechanical repair company owned and operated by a local Marine Corps veteran is rapidly expanding its operational footprint. Mobile Techs, headquartered in Coral Springs, Florida and offers 24/7 mobile mechanical servicing for heavy-duty commercial vehicles and industrial equipment, will soon open a new location in Fort Myers.
Due to a boom in demand for its services by major industrial companies, Mobile Techs is already eyeing a third location in a prominent city in southwest Florida. Mobile Techs mainly services heavy-duty trucks, trailers, cranes and booms, conveyors, truck mounted forklifts, material handling equipment, and other hydraulic equipment.
The company services equipment at its clients’ jobsites, or dispatches directly to immobile vehicles should they break down offsite, saving its clients time and money by getting their equipment up and running without having to wait days or weeks for an appointment.
Owned by Luis Ferrer, a Gulf War-era Marine, Mobile Techs already has 18 employees and will soon be hiring more. It will also be adding to its 13-truck fleet. Ferrer attributes Mobile Techs’ efficiency to his company’s success so far, and to the company’s rapid growth. The company does repairs for clients that would sometimes require multiple different mechanics to complete.
“We pride ourselves, not just on our quality repair services, but on our efficiency,” says Ferrer. “As any company that uses industrial equipment knows, if one of those pieces of equipment fails, jobs can slow to a grinding halt. That downtime can cost our clients tens of thousands of dollars, if not more. Our business model is specifically designed to alleviate that concern. We can fix forklifts, hydraulics and change tires, for example, all in one trip. I think that’s why we’ve been so successful.”
