Jasper Engines announces the availability of the remanufactured Ford 3.7L Duratec engine. This dual VVT V6 engine is available for the following late-model applications:
- 2015-2019 Transit 150, 250, and 350
- 2011-2017 Mustang
- 2011-2014 F-150
“Our remanufactured Duratec engine uses JASPER-designed pistons that have many improvements, increasing both strength and durability,” says Brad Boeglin, JASPER new product development group leader. “To complement the pistons, the ring packs are also greatly improved.”
Boeglin also says Jasper increased the top ring axial height to 1.5mm and added a physical vapor disposition (PVD) coating. The coating provides less friction and improved longevity. He also states the oil ring consists of an upgraded two-piece design to aid in better oil control.
Jasper covers the Ford 3.7-L Duratec with a nationwide, transferable parts and labor warranty of up to three years, or 100,000 miles. Full warranty disclosure is available on the Jasper website or upon request.
