Kenworth T370

CUSTOMIZE TO YOUR APPLICATION

Medium-duty trucks are perhaps the most versatile trucks on the market. They’re large enough for big jobs and small enough for handling your lightweight duties. Why buy a light-duty truck that can’t get the job done, and why buy a heavy-duty truck that’s simply too much truck when a medium-duty truck is more than capable and even more practical?

Consider the Kenworth T370. It’s rugged, versatile, and a proven option for the medium-duty vocational market. It also shares a heavy-duty heritage and key components with Kenworth’s heavy duty vocational trucks.

This truck is customizable to meet your exact needs. It’s safe for your drivers, and its power gets the job done easily.

POWER

Under the hood of the Kenworth T370 is a tried and tested PACCAR PX engine. Owners have the option of a PX-7 or PX-9. The 6.7-L PACCAR PX-7 engine offers 200 to 360 hp and 520 to 800 lb-ft of torque. The 8.9-L PACCAR PX-9 engine offers 260 to 380 hp and 720 to 1,250 lb-ft of torque. With these options, no matter your application, you’ll have an engine that works best for it.

Pair your PACCAR PX-7 or PX-9 engine with an Eaton Fuller 6-, 9-, or 10-speed transmission; an Eaton Fuller Plus 10-speed automated manual transmission; or an Allison 5- and 6-speed automatic transmission—whichever your preference for bringing home the bacon. Kenworth also offers PTO options for maximum working efficiency.

CUSTOMIZATION

We’ve addressed ways to customize your T370’s powertrain, but we’re not finished talking about customization just yet. The T370 is available with a durable straight steel channel bumper, larger size 385/65R22.5 steer tires, and rugged, molded thermoplastic fender extensions to benefit vocational customers. It’s available with a range of suspension and axle capacities that you can customize to perfectly fit your workload. These options include three frame sizes and the choice between Meritor, Dana Spicer, and Fabco axles. They also include single rear suspensions from Kenworth, Reyco, and Hendrickson with capacities from 20,000 to 31,000 lbs. Dual rear axle suspension options include Kenworth, Hendrickson, Reyco, and Chalmers with capacities up to 46,000 lbs.

Kenworth’s aluminum fuel tanks are available in multiple diameters and capacities, depending on your exact needs. They can be located on the end of the frame or between frame rails. Owners also have the option of mounting the battery box under the cab with the DEF tank, offering even more room where you need it. Kenworth also gives owners the opportunity to spec out a narrow tool box under the cab on the passenger’s side.

EXTERIOR

Aside from customization, the Kenworth T370 offers plenty of desirable features from the inside out. Drivers of the Kenworth T370 won’t have to worry about rolling their windows down to adjust their side mirrors. The mirrors adjust electronically, are heated, and are mounted to reduce vibration and readjustment. To maximize visibility, a peeper window is standard in the passenger door, and cab corner windows are also available.

Speaking of visibility, Kenworth’s advanced lighting system provides up to 30% more forward coverage than conventional lights. Owners have the option of choosing halogen or HID Xenon lamps.

If durability is a concern, you’re in luck. Kenworth’s four-piece hood and fenders are molded using a high-tech, lightweight composite material that creates more durability. For those times when a repair or tune-up is necessary, the hood of the T370 tilts a full 90 degrees. This gives your maintenance team full access to the engine and all other service points. Additionally, Kenworth wanted to make even daily inspections more efficient by putting oil, coolant, windshield wiper reservoir, and power steering fluid checks in one easily accessible location. But remember, we said there are desirable features on the inside, too.

INTERIOR

If you desire a tech-savvy interior, Kenworth offers its NAV+ HD. NAV+ HD is an in-dash display that features truck-specific navigation, vehicle data, roadside assistance, audio controls, and hands-free calling. It also includes blind-spot camera inputs and internet. This system features satellite radio, AM/FM, CD, USB, and Bluetooth for all your audio preferences.

For driver comfort, a center console is available in the T370, complete with two power ports, a cup holder, and console storage for any of your driver’s valuables. Aside from techy perks and features, one of the best ways to keep a driver comfortable is to keep them safe.

SAFETY

The Bendix Wingman Fusion safety system is available with the Kenworth T370. This system detects when the truck has the potential to bump into another vehicle or object. It alerts the driver and also has the ability to automatically brake if necessary.

However, safety should go beyond in-cab systems. Think of a driver’s safety when a truck’s maintenance goes unchecked or if service is necessary while on the road. These are times when Kenworth’s TruckTech+ Service Management System could be useful. This allows owners and managers to monitor and schedule service events in real time. With this program, you and your drivers are less likely to be caught off guard in the event of a maintenance issue.

GO WITH VERSATILE

If you’re in the market for a new truck, go with something that’s capable and practical. Choose something that’s customizable for your exact workload and necessary features. Go with something versatile. Go with a Kenworth T370.
