McLaren Doors announced its new “Streamline Hinge” also known as the “SL-Hinge.” The Streamline Hinge is designed for the McLaren Doors Streamline Series door models. The SL-Hinge provides faster installation and easier serviceability of the Streamline doors by allowing the door to be divided into sections that can be installed by one or two people without the use of machines. The hinge is manufactured out of extruded aluminum to prevent potential corrosion and secured using stainless steel rivets to keep the Streamline Series doors rust free.
The standard configuration for the hinge will be one SL-Hinge on all dry freight and refrigerated models and two SL-Hinges on the Streamline freezer model. These configurations ensure that the weight and size of the sections are a manageable lifting weight for companies where only one or two installers may be available.
Customers will also be given the ability to add additional hinges to further reduce section sizes. Additionally, the Streamline Hinge can be retrofitted to work on older McLaren style and Roador style door models, allowing for easier immediate repair and future serviceability.
“The SL-Hinge is a great advancement for our Streamline Series products because it allows our customers to install the doors faster and more easily while not sacrificing patented cargo guard design, Stewart McLaren, president of McLaren Doors and Almac Industrial Systems, says. “It’s one of the best advancements that we have made to date!”
