With the driver shortage, a significant issue across all segments of trucking—including medium-duty applications—Class 5 vehicles are more attractive than ever. Class 5 trucks are more than capable of handling the requirements of local delivery companies and they don’t require a commercial driver’s license to operate.
Peterbilt’s Model 325 is a Class 5 truck with a GVW of 19,500 lbs and is equipped with hydraulic brakes, making it ideal for light- and medium-duty operations. The Model 325 is versatile and can be upfitted with a wide range of bodies for many different applications.
UNDER THE SKIRT
The 6.7-liter PACCAR PX-7 engine—offering up to 300 hp and 660 lb-ft of torque—delivers superior performance, minimizes operational costs, and maximizes uptime for medium-duty owners. Reduced maintenance, long service intervals, and excellent fuel efficiency add up to a superior lifetime value.
The easy-to-operate, easy-to-service hydraulic brakes feature ABS and come standard. The Model 325 is designed to maximize the efficiency of non-commercial drivers with a quick-check engine and single-axle drive. It’s ideal for light towing, pickup and delivery, roll-off, landscaping, and municipal utility applications.

EXTERIOR EFFICIENCY
The Model 325 is constructed with a lightweight, all-aluminum cab for fuel efficiency and is corrosion-resistant for durability. The hood is manufactured from Metton, which reduces weight without sacrificing impact-resistant strength, and tilts open a full 90 degrees for easier access to key service points. The stainless steel grille surround is long lasting; its durable design protects the engine cooling system.
THE INNER WORKINGS
Its driver-friendly features make the Model 325 a top-choice truck. With easy-to-read gauges, easy-to-reach switches, and quick service access points, it’s designed to keep non-commercial drivers relaxed and productive. Operators will appreciate the Model 325’s automotive-like interior for its ergonomics and ease of operability. Just like the exterior, the interior is manufactured of long-lasting, durable materials.
The ergonomic dash features easy-to-read LED backlit gauges, a driver information display for critical vehicle data, and rocker switches within easy reach. Power controls for door locks and power windows are conveniently located in the door panel and a multi-functional turnstalk and easy-to-read driver information center provide a comfortable, ergonomic driver environment. An in-mold process embeds color directly onto the dash for a long-lasting finish, virtually eliminating fading, scratching, and peeling.

Long life and trouble-free operation mean low cost of operation for owners. The Model 325 is easy to drive and easy to maintain.
