Safe Fleet is a portfolio of innovative and entrepreneurial brands that provide safety products for fleet vehicle manufacturers and operators worldwide. Many of the founding entrepreneurs shaped these brands by creating disruptive technologies that developed into market-leading products, and more than 100 years later, innovation continues to be at the core of Safe Fleet’s culture.
In fact, Safe Fleet continues to redefine markets through next generation technology and integrated solutions. They deliver best-in-class products for a wide variety of end markets. On a daily basis, Safe Fleet improves the safety and productivity of countless operators, passengers, and pedestrians around the world.
The Safe Fleet brands serve several major markets including bus, rail, RV, truck and trailer, work truck, law enforcement, emergency, waste, industrial, and military. With more than 1,200 employees and more than 15 manufacturing locations, Safe Fleet targets markets with increasing demand for operator, passenger, and pedestrian safety.
TRUCK MAN AT HEART
William Craig Bonham joined Safe Fleet in 2017 as the vice president of work truck. Bonham is a Work Truck industry veteran currently serving as a manufacturing trustee on the National Truck Equipment Association (NTEA) board. He is responsible for driving accelerated growth in the Work Truck division. Bonham was previously from Reading Truck Body, a leading manufacturer of vocational work truck bodies, truck equipment, commercial trucks, and service vans, where he was most recently the vice president of sales and business development. At Reading, he provided strategic guidance to drive significant revenue growth, strengthening the company’s leadership position in the US. Prior to Reading, he spent 10 years with America’s Truck Body Company. During his tenure there he was a high-performing territory sales manager, and was then promoted to director of sales, training, and business development. As vice president of work truck, Bonham is leading a dedicated team of individuals in sales, product development, engineering, and customer service to envision, develop, manufacture, and distribute innovative safety solutions for the work truck market.
“Craig’s reputation for building mutually beneficial relationships, coupled with his extensive work truck industry experience, made him an ideal choice to lead Safe Fleet’s work truck business unit,” adds John Knox, president and CEO of Safe Fleet.
“The Work Truck industry has a need for the safety expertise that the Safe Fleet brands bring. My mission is to help work truck professionals improve fleet safety and productivity utilizing innovative, Safe Fleet products such as our ergonomic ladder racks, ultra-bright LED work-area lighting, and a variety of industry-leading video camera solutions,” Bonham says. “Our brands are committed to protecting life and property, reducing accidents, and improving employee efficiency.”
SAFETY SOLUTIONS
Safe Fleet is the leading global provider of safety solutions for fleet vehicles with solutions to promote safety and productivity across various fleet vehicles such as work vans, pickup trucks, and medium-duty utility trucks.
Prime Design’s ErgoRack headlines the lineup of fleet safety solutions. Designed with the worker in mind—the ErgoRack reduces muscle stress, eliminates risk of injury, and speeds up the job of loading and unloading ladders from a work vehicle. Operators can deploy or stow ladders in less than 20 seconds with the ErgoRack.
To help workers see and be seen while on the jobsite, FRC’s WorkPro series of ultra-bright LED work area lighting is available in various lumens and spot or flood configurations.
Rounding out the safety solutions portfolio for Safe Fleet are the video camera products offered by RVS Systems and Seon, Bustin’s running boards and fuel tank steps, and roll-up compartment doors or cargo covers by ROM.
AT THE SHOW
Safe Fleet is showing safety solutions at NTEA’s The Work Truck Show in Indianapolis, Indiana, March 6-9, in booth #921.
