If he could find a way to be in two places at one time, 27-year-old Kyle Good would do just that. But, until cloning becomes a reality, this Salem, Missouri, resident will rely on his 2015 F-150 SuperCrew® to get him to the dizzying number of places he needs to be—from his day job to his grandpa’s farm, from the fire department to tucking his kids in at night.
FROM VOLUNTEER
As a volunteer firefighter with the Lenox Rural Fire Department, getting somewhere often means responding to an emergency, and unfortunately there are no major highways in Good’s neck of the woods.
The beautiful, rolling hills are crisscrossed by two-lane roads that rise, fall, bend, and twist like a roller coaster. Yet, Good negotiates them nicely, with the help of his F-150. “This truck holds the turns just great,” Good says. “I love the suspension.” He is equally impressed with the power of its available EcoBoost® engine. “When I need it to go… it goes.”
TO MAINTENANCE
It helps that these roads are well maintained, thanks in part to Good’s day job. He’s worked for the Missouri State Highway Department on highway and right-of-way maintenance since 2013. Before that, this Iraq War veteran served as a heavy-construction equipment operator in the armed forces.
FROM BUSINESS
As if his day job and volunteer firefighter duties weren’t enough, Good and his wife, Amber, own a 24-hour towing business. That means any free time Good may be enjoying can come to an abrupt end when the phone rings.
TO FAMILY
With three small children, Good lets the F-150 SuperCrew also serve as the “family wagon” when they make the frequent 820-mile round-trip to visit grandparents in the Chicago area. “It’s got a smooth ride, and the kids like that it’s so roomy,” Good says with great satisfaction. “My three-year-old is usually asleep 10 minutes down the road.”
HAVING FUN
Now, given the rugged nature of this man, you may be surprised to hear about two features of his F-150 that he is particularly enamored with. “This is the first truck I’ve had with a power-sliding rear window. I love to play tricks on my kids, so sometimes I open it while we’re driving and let the wind blow their hair all around.” The second feature is the truck bed’s available LED box lighting. “I really love ’em,” Good exclaims. “Especially when unloading groceries at night.”
Good seems to do more in a week than most people do in a month. So, it should come as no surprise that in addition to his day job, his work as a volunteer firefighter, his towing business, and his responsibilities as a dad, he still finds time to head over to his grandpa’s farm, where he first learned how to drive, to help out with his F-150.
