VMAC Awarded Canada’s Best Managed Companies Gold Standard Designation

Canada’s Best Managed Companies recognized VMAC with a designation for the fourth consecutive year. As a result, VMAC became a Gold Standard winner. VMAC won its initial Best Managed award in 2019 and has successfully retained its status through 2022.

Tod Gilbert, VMAC president, says the recognition as well as reaching the Gold Standard milestone thrills the company. “We demonstrated our commitment to innovative, world-class business practices that support our company, our coworkers, and our community,” Gilbert says. “We are honored to see that commitment recognized on a national level.”

Canada’s Best Managed Companies continues as a mark of excellence for Canadian-owned and managed companies with revenues over $50 million. Every year, hundreds of entrepreneurial companies compete for this designation in an independent process evaluating management skills as well as practices. Then, the Best Managed program awards winners demonstrating leadership in strategy, innovation, capabilities, culture, commitment, and financials to achieve growth.

“The 2022 Best Managed winners exemplify innovation, adaptability, and resilience in the face of uncertainty,” says Derrick Dempster, partner, Deloitte Private and Co-Leader, Canada’s Best Managed Companies program. “Over the past year, these forward-forging companies have pivoted to successfully respond to challenges and capitalize on new opportunities, leveraging industry-leading competencies to maximize their investments and drive sustainable growth.”
