Have you ever been speed dating? The concept revolves around moving from person to person in a matter of minutes, seeking exciting conversation or subtle connections to determine which guy or gal is worth seeing again. Picture that but for your business and with 15-minute sessions instead of a brief minute or two. Need a telematics system but not sure which provider is the best for you? Get one-on-one facetime with multiple providers in one place. Looking for cargo solutions? Sit down with multiple manufacturers and customize your storage. Where does this happen? At the Work Fleet Forum.
Last month in Ponte Vedra Beach, Florida, 50 work fleet leaders and 40 fleet management solution providers gathered for two days at Sawgrass Marriott Resort to interact through one-on-one meetings, ice cream socials, dinners, and evening events. Small group meetings with presentations from suppliers took place on both days, allowing fleet owners to get a snapshot of industry solutions, while scheduling one-on-one meetings with suppliers allowed fleet owners to address the particular needs of their fleet. In a nutshell, the Work Truck Forum skips the trade show madness of crowded booths and cookie-cutter sales pitches and trades it for meaningful connections with serious fleet owners looking for serious solutions.
FOR FLEET MANAGERS
Not only is the Work Fleet Forum a great place to find solutions to all things work fleet, it is also designed to build industry relationships. While on the resort, attendees enjoyed networking activities, such as meals with peers and colleagues, and this year attendees were treated to a trip to TopGolf. Yet there are ample breaks scheduled throughout to day to keep the event relaxed.
The Work Fleet Forum is a great place for balance of work and play. Managers can get a month’s worth of information—or even more—from solution providers in a matter of just two days.
“This was a much better use of my time as I was able to only speak with the solution providers I am interested in partnering with,” said a fleet director from Hepaco.
FOR SOLUTION PROVIDERS
Why should fleet solutions providers attend the Work Fleet Forum? Anthony Fasano of Work Fleet Forum provided two numbers that prove why.
134,767
total vehicles were represented at the Forum this year.3,208
was the average fleet size managed by fleet owner/operator attendees this year.
These numbers reflect the seriousness of the event. Vendors can spend thousands of dollars on a trade show and could expect to receive decent results or hardly any return on investment from the show. Yet this event gets you in front of fleet managers who are already interested in what you have to offer and are serious about making a change to help the operations of their fleet.
“This was an excellent event all around,” regional sales manager at Mobileye, Inc. says. “The only event I truly look forward to participating in each year. The format works well for both sides. Vendors have the right audience. Attendees have vetted vendors and products to look at rather than wondering around a 600-booth trade show.”
